Peninsula Italian American Social Club Awards Scholarships

The Peninsula Italian American Social Club of San Mateo and the Peninsula Social Club Foundation invited the 2010 scholarship winners to be introduced to the membership at the June General Meeting. Each of the recipients was introduced by Foundation President Rudy Bertolozzi.

Certificates acknowledging their excellent high school achievements and their selection as scholarship winners were presented by PIASC President Emil Giannoni. The recipients attending were Ryan Brown, Joseph Giannini and Sabrina Rodighiero, all from Carlmont High School in Belmont, Richard Dobbins from Cardinal Newman High School in Santa Rosa, Andrew Godin from St. Ignatius Prep in San Francisco, Kelly Hagarty from Presentation High School in San Jose, and Kate Zanobini from Redwood High School in Larkspur.

Unable to attend were Timothy Conway Jr. from Oakridge High School in Eldorado Hills, Megan Sammons from Amador High School in Sutter Creek, and Elizabeth Sprenkel from Soquel High School. Also unable to attend was Alexandra Freschet from St. Francis High School in Mountain View.

Alexandra was chosen to receive the Peter and Paul Uccelli Foundation Award for her academic and athletic achievements and her outstanding community service.
