Girls Town of Italy 48th Anniversary Fashion Show

The Girls Town of Italy, San Francisco Committee, held their 48th Anniversary Fashion Show Luncheon on Wednesday, December 2nd in the Grand Ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel.

The designer, Azadeh, showed her beautiful and unique collection of daytime, cocktail, evening and bridal wears. Azadeh has been serving the San Francisco and Bay Area for over ten years. The star of Housewives of Orange County, Gretchen Rossi, who is a special costumer of Azadeh, was the celebrity model and the guests were thrilled to see her on the runway.

Azadeh was also the designer for the royal family of Saudi Arabia and also served as the head designer for Bebe stores nationwide. Mrs. Romana Bracco, General Chairwoman, greeted the guests and thanked them for their invaluable support. She recognized Marie Mitchell for her generous donation again of the lovely centerpieces that one lucky person at each table took home.

Frank Somerville, KTVU – TV NEWS Anchor was the Master of Ceremonies and welcomed the guests and introduced the Fashion Show. Following the Fashion Show, Brother Patrick Sean Moffett, CFC President Emeritus of Girls’ Town of Italy, gave greetings to the guests and extended the gratitude of all the young girls in Girls’ Town of Italy to this special committee for their 48 years of generous help so they may receive a “change in life”.

He presented a Girls Town of Italy “Honorary Citizenship Scroll” to Romana Bracco and thanked her for serving as General Chairwoman. He argued everyone who has a chance to visit Rome to make arrangements to visit the Girls’ Town of Italy, which has been helping homeless and needy young girls for 55 years.

Aqua di Roma arranged for their staff to donate their time to do the hair for the models and Alex Chase Salon also had their staff do the make-up for the models. Anton Hedman donated his services for the sound in the Ballroom. We were also fortunate to have the students from the Academy of Art University donate their time as dressers. ICIO donated a flask of their Flavored Water to each guest and Perfumania donated fragrance samples again to the guests.

The drawings for the Raffle and Door Prizes always create excitement for the lucky winners.
