Enogastronomia: A series of events on the food and wine culture of Italy at the Italian Cultural Institute
ENOGASTRONOMIA is a series of events focused on educating the public on the food and wine culture of Italy, curated by Italian food expert and former caterer Viola Buitoni and certified sommelier and Italian wine importer Antonio Tartaglione.
The series comprises the following events:

Vitigni recuperati: Italian Heirloom Wines.
Wednesday March 2 at 6:30 pm
Delizie del Carnevale: Foods and Traditions of Italian Carnival.
Wednesday April 13 at 6:30 pm
Beyond the Pasta: Language and Life with an Italian Family by Mark Leslie.

Rabbits and Wrinkles: Cooking with Italian Grandmothers by Jessica Theroux.
Admission to each event: $20 person / $15 members of the Istituto.
Subscription pricing: buy a series of three evenings for 10% discount, four or more for 20% discount.
Maximum of 50 people for session.

COOKING CLASSES
La Cucina d'Inverno-Italian Winter Cooking
A series of three classes, each focusing on the three main areas of Italy, North, Center and South, will be held at the Italian Consulate. Classes, taught by private caterers Corrado Sani and Viola Buitoni, will be held from 1 pm to 5 pm, on dates to be determined in the months of January and February. In these hands-on classes, students will be guided to easily integrate Italian regional cuisine and seasonal ingredients into every day uncomplicated cooking for family and friends.
Price of one class is $140, for 2 classes $260 or $360 for the series of three. Payment: cash or checks payable to Italian Cultural Institute.
