12th annual Newport Beach Film Festival to showcase an exclusive screening of Italian cinema

Newport Beach, Calif. – On Wednesday May 4, 2011 the 12th annual Newport Beach Film Festival will present its Italian Spotlight, an evening celebration of Italian cinema and culture. The event will feature the Orange County premiere of the Italian comedy, “Basilicata Coast to Coast, followed by a festive post screening gala.
The Film centers on four musicians who take ten days to walk across the Italian countryside to a music festival in Scanzano Jonico, Italy.

Along the way, they learn a little more about themselves and each other. “The Festival continues a proud tradition of presenting the very best in Italian Cinema. “Basilicata Coast to Coast” is a beautiful film with great performances and a view of Italy that will enchant our audience - one of our strongest events of 2011,” stated Gregg Schwenk, CEO of the Newport Beach Film Festival.

The film will screen on Wednesday May 4th – 7:15 at the Edwards Big Newport 6, 300 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach, CA 92660. The post- screening celebration will take place at Canaletto Ristorante Veneto located at 545 Newport Center Drive Newport Beach, CA 92660.

Admission to the Italian Spotlight film and the post- screening party is $35.00.
