F.I.L.’s
Traditional Christmas Party
On
December 2, 2006 the holidays have already begun as parties filled the
calendar. Families of Italian Lineage started it with a sell out attendance
at the beautiful Dana Point Yacht Club.
If
you want to be really impressed, attend a FIL function. I guarantee
you will be "bowled over" by the people present and the chairpersons
who give so much of their time so that all members can enjoy many fun
parties and cultural tours.
This
Christmas party was no exception. Chairlady Joanne Koeppe wanted to
create a really elegant and tradional Christmas evening and that was
one of the reasons that FIL presented each member and guest with a large
'PANETTONE'.
Joanne chose filet mignon and wild salmon for the entree and ended with
tiramisù for dessert.
With
Tony Ciaramitaro singing holiday favorites and the ballrrom featuring
lovely large poinsettas on colorful table linens, it was a "DONE
DEAL". The SICILIAN BAND entertained, prompting dancing throughout
the evening.
There was no mistaking those killer smiles from prospective
members: they came, they saw, and they were conquered by the members
of FIL.
Our
next functions will be a bus tour to GETTY VILLA on January 14, 2007
and a Valentine Dinner Dance on February 11, 2007.
