“Tuscan Sun” Exhibit Shines
La Bottega Dell'Acquaforte of Laguna Beach, California, presented the work of international artist, Carla Carli Mazzucato, at a show opening reception on Saturday, June 19, 2010.
Attended by numerous collectors and local luminaries including Paolo Miliozzi, president of the Fondazione Italia, and Carlo Rocco, former president of OCICA, Orange County Italian Cultural Association, the reception gave art patrons the opportunity to meet the Italian-born artist and view her collection of original "Tuscany-inspired" oil paintings. Mazzucato first exhibited in the United States in 1969.
By 1982, her work began appearing regularly in New York City, and shows in Toronto, Canada; Dallas, Chicago and Palm Springs, U.S.A. soon followed. Described as a "modern expressionist" by former director of the Detroit Institute of Arts, Samuel Sachs II, Mazzucato's work hangs in the permanent collection of the Detroit OperaHouse as well as the Roman Catholic Archdiocese Church of Corpus Domini in Bolzano, Italy.
The "Tuscan Sun" exhibit will run through July 25, 2010, at La Bottega Dell' Acquaforte, 1590 S. Coast Highway, Suite #4, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, (949) 497-6690.
