Summer camps Piccolo Chef at Surfas!

Acclaimed cooking academy Piccolo Chef holds culinary camps at Surfas Restaurant Supply and Gourmet Food in Culver City. All ingredients and professional chef instruction of the making of delicious meals and recipes included. Each child receives a Piccolo Chef Apron, Class Cookbook and Certificate of Completion at the end of camp.

Iron Piccolo Chef (Ages 11-17)

Shhhh! It's top secret. With a new secret ingredient each day, come create your own signature dishes! By working in teams and with the guidance of your professional Chef Instructor, you'll discover how to combine ingredients and use new techniques to create unique dishes all your own! But don't ask what the secret ingredient is, that is to be revealed each day of class! Monday – Friday, July 12-16, 9am-12pm, $390.

A Roman Adventure (Ages 11-17)

We’re taking a Roman holi- day in the Piccolo Chef kitchen this summer! In this class we will work together as a team to discover classic Roman ingredi- ents and flavors, then learn about the Roman culture while making traditional dishes like “Spaghetti Carbonara” and “Gnocchi alla Romana.” With one bite of these bold Roman dishes, you’ll truly understand the expression, “When in Rome…!” Monday – Friday, August 9- 13, 9am-12pm, $390.

The Chef’s Garden (Ages 6-10)

Come taste the fresh fare of the Chef’s summer garden! This week we’re discovering how those ripe and delicious fruits, veggies and other market treats are grown and used in scrumptious recipes! We’ll farm some of our own seeds to use in tasty recipes like “Triple Berry Shortcakes with Freshly Whipped Honeyed Cream” and “Summer Vegetable Tarts”. With creations like these you’ll be sewing your own culinary seeds! Monday – Friday, August 16- 20, 9am-12pm, $390.

Summer Bake Shop (Ages 6-10)

We’ll go from zero to hero, so rev your cooking engines, pre-heat your ovens and let’s get baking! We’re measuring up loads of tastiness in our kitchens while making some classic baked goodies like “Triple Chocolate Fudge Filled Brownies” and your very own healthy and delicious “Crusty Seeded Baguette.” For those of us who knead to bake, dust off those measuring spoons and put on your aprons. Your children will be baking up loaves of fun! Monday – Friday, August 23- 27, 9am-12pm, $390.
