San Pedro Trappeto Club to hold Dinner/Dance and “Ballo in Maschera” Saturday, February 5, 2011
Committed to continuing past traditions, The San Pedro Trappeto Club will hold its ninth annual Dinner/Dance and “Ballo in Maschera” on February 5, 2011. According to Cav. Stefano Finazzo, President of the San Pedro Trappeto Club, the event, traditionally known as “Ballo in Maschera”, is a once a year affair that seeks to celebrate the numerous presence, amongst members of the greater Italian American community of the Harbor area, those whose ancestors originated from the little fishing town of Trappeto, a community located just west of Palermo, Sicily and situated along the easterly boundary of the Gulf of Castellammare.
The president of the organization also added that the celebration will take place at Mary Star of the Sea Church Auditorium, 870 West 8th Street, San Pedro, beginning at 6:00PM with cocktails, at 7:00PM with a scrumptious Rib-Eye Steak Dinner consisting of antipasto dishes, pasta, main entrée, salads, vegetables, with wine and coffee as well as desserts and, very possibly, with locally produced delicious Sicilian cannolis included. Dancing will follow immediately after the dinner to the sounds of the Duo Domino’s music.

Donations for the event are $35.00 per adult and $15.00 for children under the age of 12.
