San Pedro Elks Plan Columbus Day Italian Night

The San Pedro Elks members and guests and the Italian Community will reunite at the San Pedro Elks Lodge located at 1748 Cumbre Drive in San Pedro for the Annual Columbus Day Celebration on Saturday evening October 9, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. for cocktail hour, with dinner at 7:00 pm. Under the chairmanship of Tony De Girolamo all the Italian groups for the past ten years have celebrated Columbus Day together at the Lodge.

Last year’s groups attending where the San Pedro Italian American Club, the Italian Catholic Federation, the Sons of Italy, the Federated Italo- Americans, the Trappeto Club, the Saint Joseph Table Society, the Saint Ann Society, the San Pietro Society and the San Pedro-Ischia Sisterhood Members.

Chairman De Girolamo has promised every- one another sell-out event with a great menu, door prizes and great music by the Duo Domino. The Consul General of Italy in Los Angels Honorable Nicola Faganello and his wife have been invited to attend. The Italian Night Committee has dedicated this year’s event and will be honoring Deputy Chief of the L.A. Police Department Kirk Albanese, who is the most decorated Italian Police Officer of Los Angeles, thanking him for his valor and dedication in his years of superb service.

Dinner menu will be: Antipasto platter, Tuscan salad, arugula, tomatoes, olives, Veal Scaloppini with mushroom brandy sauce, and Grilled Halibut citrus tomato sauce, Pappardelle Pasta with fresh tomato sauce, Garlic Pesto home made bread, Spumoni Gelato, coffee, tea, wine, beer and mixed drinks sold at the specially set up bar. This event is open to Elks members and their guests only.

Proceeds of the event will go to Elks charities and Building Funds Price is $30.00 a person, by paid reservation only. Tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis.
