Piemontesi nel Mondo Awards Scholarship at Oakmont Country Club

On a beautiful crisp evening with twilight blanketing the skies, we stepped into the Christmas world of fantasy at the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale. The huge decorated Christmas tree absolutely triggered the mood for a festive holiday, welcoming us in the lobby along with Christmas carols filling the air – our attitude was definitely inspired to enter the holiday spirit. This was a very special evening for one of our members – Jeannine Actis Petersen whose granddaughter Annalia Alba is the recipient of our $1,000 annual Piemontesi Scholarship Award.

This young lady maintained an excellent grade point average throughout her four years of study and interestingly she has strong dedicated feelings outside the academic world. These interests are her passion – one is in the field of photography and the other is in the artful movements of dance. She is active in developing her ambitions in college and possibly in the business world. We are happy to donate this funds towards her future. Congratulations, Annalia Alba!
