Italian Family Festival
On the first Sunday of every month, the Bowers invites you to bring your family for a fun and entertaining afternoon of cultural engagements. This month’s spotlight shines on the music, dance, arts, and food of Italy.
NORMA KERSHAW AUDITORIUM: 1:00pm - Franklin Haynes presents Marionette Magic – A showcase of Haynes’ mostpopular puppets including Carmen Miranduck, The Fat Man, Patty PolarBear, Lucy the Clown, Pinocchio and Mr. Bubbles will have the kids goingwild!
MARGARET AND CLEO KEY COURTYARD: 12:00pm - The Sicilian Band, featuring Tony Ciaramitaro, plays traditional ballads of Italy. Join in on the fun by getting up and dancing with the crowd!
Enjoy complimentary delicious Italian ices and cookies. Free admission to Scrimshaw: The Art and Craft of the American Whaler and Bowers Museum permanent exhibits, including: Spirits and Headhunters: Art of the Pacific Islands. Free admission to Bowers Kidseum includ- ed. Kidseum hours: 10 am – 4 pm.
