Invitation to Patrons of Italian Culture Gala Anniversary Opera Recital

Formal invitations have now been mailed out for the 150 Year Anniversary Gala Opera recital and luncheon to be held on Sunday, Oct. 30, at St. Peter’s Church, reports Paul Romano, Patron President. Each of the 50+ Federated Italo-Americans of Southern California organizations and their members will be receiving invitations through their respective organizations to insure that every individual member has the opportunity to attend this special event. RSVP’s for all members wishing to attend are due no later than Oct. 7.

We are honored to have Mr. Joe Mantegna as our Honorary Chairman and he has indicated he will be attending the event, reports Romano. Dignitaries from the L.A. Opera are also expected, including Maestros Ignazio Terrasi and Roberto Cani. The Patrons are also looking forward to having recently arrived Consul General, Honorable Giuseppe Perrone, attend this historic event.

Recently arrived Neopolitan tenor, Rosario Monetti will be joined with international performing Soprano, Rebecca Steinke Harris. Accompanying the singers will be pianist, musical director and teacher, James Bianchi. The Opera reci- tal will include eight numbers to be performed in St. Peter’s Church, including a duet of the ‘Ave Maria’ by Rosario Monetti and Rebecca Steinke Harris. The luncheon program will consist of a dozen more Italian favorites, including duets of "O sole mio" and "Time to Say Goodbye".

Formal event tickets will be mailed out to guests as soon as payment has been received. All guests must have their ticket to be admitted to the event!. There will be no tickets available at the door.
