ICF #67 Celebrates Father's Day, June Birthday and New Members
The leading School of Management in Italy and the only Italian School in all main International rankings ICF had their June 14th meeting with much excitement. It included a delicious lamb dinner and Father's day gifts. Two new members, Marco and Nina Zonni were welcomed.
They also replaced few board members, Marco as the 1st Vice President and Nina as a Trustee. Marco's birthday was on the day of the meeting and other members birthdays were that same week: President Anna Riggs, Leo Noto and Hilda Torregrossa. We all celebrated with a beautiful and delicious cake.
We were entertained by singer Filippo Voltaggio, a most extraordinary story teller. Everyone was teary eyed as the stories and songs by Filippo brought back many memories from times gone by.
We are so lucky to have such generous people support our group and endeavors.
President, Anna Riggs, wrote a mission statement and read it to all members in attendance. The purpose was to educate people of the so infinite donations that the Italian Catholic Federation is committed to. Attendees were amazed to hear all that the ICF does for needy people, especially young people. She spoke of the commitment that ICF has towards the cure of Thalassemia, better known as Cooley's Anemia.
It is the intention of the President to bring the subject to the attention of the members on a regular basis. Many were so moved, they stated they never knew how much the ICF contributed. It is through this education that the members will appreciate the ICF to the full extent.
We are dark for July & August, but will welcome new members in Sept. (8 of them). Also a reminder that Oct. the 11th will be the last Polenta /Masquerade dinner for the year 2011. We will resume polenta in 2012 with our new chefs, Angela Gallidoro and Maria Bruno.
Buone Vacanze,
Anna Di Masi Riggs
