FIAT motor village of L.A. and Commissione Los Angeles: A succesful partnership!

We have no doubt: the last Friday event at Studio Fiat in Downtown was a success. A lot of people joined the party and -very important- a lot of people had the chance to discover the world of FIAT. The particular location then, made the evening even more special; it doesn’t happen every day to party, surrounded by brand new cars of any possible color! All this accompanied by a dj-set and fresh food for all guests, obviously "Italian style".

The atmosphere was simply perfect for talking, enjoying “panini” and “gelato” and familiarizing with all the cars exhibited in the lounge. Michael Passage, FIAT Specialist, was also present to introduce guests to FIAT Motor Village of L.A. and to answer all their questions about the evening star: FIAT 500. This month, Sara Scorcia (Commissione Giovani Los Angeles) had the brilliant idea to invite the members to this event and the result was that the people who joined the party are still commenting on it. We’ve asked Sara Scorcia her impression about the 500 MIXER AND NETWORKING EVENT.

Sara, everybody is still talking about the evening. What are your impressions?

The 500 Mixer & Networking Event was extremely successful. A lot of "Commissione Giovani Los Angeles" members and friends were in attendance, but reservations also included representatives from the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West and Italian Trade Commission. In addition, our friends and supporters from Rosa’s Bella Cucina, San Gennaro Foundation, Italia.org, Graziadio Center of Italian Studies, L’Italo-Americano and many more were there to enjoy the evening.

Is that what you expected?

The event went beyond my expectations in many fantastic ways. FIAT Motor Village of Los Angeles sponsored food from Rosa’s Bella Cucina for all in attendance! Music from Leonardo Barion, delectable eats from Rosa’s Bella Cucina, delicious gelato from Paciugo Gelato and of course the scene-stealer FIAT 500 made the evening with our members and friends enjoyable and memorable.

How did the idea come out?

We thought it would have been interesting to continue our mission as an organization with FIAT's first dealership in the United States - Motor Village of Los Angeles. It is a new way for "Commissione Giovani Los Angeles" to celebrate Italy's modern design for the FIAT 500 and promote Italian style in L.A.

How was it working with this special partnership?

Working with Michael Passage on this event was seemless because we both had the same vision of celebrating Italian modern design. CGLA is one of the groups where Italian-Americans and Italians moving to Los Angeles celebrate the contributions Italians have made in the American community while introducing them to the rest of Los Angeles.

Is this kind of collaboration between two Italian different sectors something CGLA does frequently or is it something new?

CGLA has collaborated with several different organizations and groups over the last couple of years, promoting Italian culture, traditions and passions. We look forward to continuing our friendly collaborations that positively reflect “i giovani italiani” and our mission.

This first collaboration between CGLA and Fiat Motor Village was a sort of experiment. Given the satisfactory result, will there be any future collaboration?

Since the very successful event on August 25th, CGLA has been approached to host more events with FIAT Motor Village. We look forward to working together in the future. I would also like to thank the members of Commissione Giovani Los Angeles and our friends for their unwavering dedication. It is their continuous passion and support that make events like this possible and goals attainable.
