Club Italia Salutes Fathers

“Salute to Fathers” was the theme for Club Italia’s monthly dinner. Since this was a ‘manly dinner’, a ‘manly meal’ was prepared. Baby back ribs with dark rich barbeque sauce. Rigatoni with marinara sauce Biagio style, salad, peas and of course a laye- red cake for dessert.

As if this wasn’t enough, beer, wine and mixed drinks flowed making the evening fun and memorable. The gathering of club members is always a fun event. Not too much business but a lot of fun. This was the last dinner until September, so the club members made the most of the time together. President Frank Coppa was in good spirits and his health has improved.

Frank’s wife Lucy is also recovering and was smiling and greeting their friends. The music of the Duo Domino band started on time and the group began to dance and sing “The Amore”. Club Italia is a social club and the members enjoy dancing, singing and eating. The Club did a centerpie- ce drawing for a bottle of wine, the closest birthday won, and it was fun to see the members quibble over birthdays. Club Italia’s membership conti- nues to grow and each meeting brings new members.

The Club does all the cooking right at the hall. The many volunteers work together to make the evening fun for the whole family. Providing live entertainment, great food and a welcoming smile makes Club Italia a worthwhile destination on a Saturday night, at an affordable price. The club offers members a chance for a free formal dinner in November (if you attend at least five dinners.) If you seek membership in a fun filled social club, see the calendar section for meeting times or contact Sigrid Ravizza for an application, 818-345- 6953.
