Another huge success for the Italian Woman’s Club Italian annual Christams party

On December 10th the Italian Woman's Club celebrated Christmas at the Portofino Restaurant in La Habre. President Lucia DiMasi Rodriguez was happy to say that the large attendance was overwhelming!
Chairperson Rosa DiMasi Stevens planned a party to be remembered, with gifts, prizes, a boutique and an auction. Each table was decorated with a potted poinsettia plant and a loaf of fruit cake which was donated by Guy & Eva Masciotra.

To celebrate the Christmas season, the Portofino Restaurant was decorated with the holiday spirit. Fresh biscotti and cookies were also donated and sold.
Thank you to those members who donated gifts and their time. Nick D' Egidio served up a fantastic meal which included polenta, fried calamari, bruschetta, salad, pasta, New York steak and dessert. The club was honored to have Father Giovanni Bizzotto attend and give his blessing before lunch was served.

Lucia also presented her board with their individual gifts, which was an engraved letter opener with the initials IWC and dated 2011. The party included four generations of the DiMasi's family, The proceeds from this event provide the Italian Woman's Club with the necessary working capitol needed as a non profit organization.
